Letisia Vela
UKCP Advanced Trainee Bilingual Therapist
As an advanced trainee therapist, I am warm, thoughtful and relational in my approach. I believe meaningful change happens through a safe, collaborative and therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely heard and understood. My clinical experience includes placements with Humberside Police and Valued Minds (Space2BHeard), where I have supported adults facing anxiety, low mood, trauma-related difficulties, and complex life challenges.
Grounded in Transactional Analysis, my work explores patterns in how you relate to yourself and others, helping you understand where certain beliefs or behaviours may have developed and how they might be affecting you now. As a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish), I aim to offer a culturally sensitive and inclusive space where all parts of your identity are welcome. As a UKCP trainee, I bring curiosity, up-to-date training, and dedicated supervision, alongside a strong commitment to ethical and reflective practice.
Areas of Interest
I work with adults who may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, or difficulties in relationships, as well as those who feel stuck in repeating patterns or are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. I am particularly interested in supporting clients who are curious about their inner world and open to exploring how past experiences may be shaping their present. I welcome clients who may not have a specific “label” for what they’re experiencing but simply know that something doesn’t feel right.
